It's About Time....

I wonder why I even do a blog.  I am not sure if anyone actually reads it or cares.  But for those mystery readers out there, even though I suck at posting....here ya go.  Finally an update.

Joe and I have been busy doing many things.  Between our empty Nester moments (some call it mid-life crisis lol) of taking weekend jaunts, me going back to work, inheriting another dog, saying good-bye to our son and his sweet wife and boys as they moved to Japan on a military assignment...to more remodeling projects and family drama.

We are always grateful for our family, our friends and for all the many memories we are making along the way.

I decided to post some pics to catch up the last few months.  As well as pay tribute to a very important person that we just lost in the family.  Scott Denning, Joe's little brother passed away unexpectedly on April 20th, 2012.  Scott had been experiencing some seizures as a residual result of a car accident several years back.  Scott had a seizure earlier in the evening and went to bed since he wasn't feeling well.  Scott just never woke up and passed peacefully in his sleep.  While we will all miss his wonderful sense of humor and witty personality, he is now in the company of many of the loved ones that passed prior to him in the family and is having a reunion that I am sure is very special on the other side.

We miss you Scott, and will always treasure you in our hearts and thoughts....

Joe's Skills at Remodeling-

We needed to repair a retaining wall and wanted to add more privacy...
So, after the $7900 bid, we opted to do it ourselves.  Joe is a genius!
It turned out soooooo nice!

I will have to post more pics after the ground cover goes in~

Then there is our playtime, our grown up adventures discovering
our own backyard in Utah.  Zion's National Park and Moab

Our new Toy, BMW Convertible.
Oh it is nice to feel the wind in your hair
and not be straddling
a motorcycle seat...ha ha

RANDOM PICS

Our dog Rawley, looking Stoic at Zion's, using the picturesque backdrop
Cory, at his partner's funeral in February.
The windstorm in Bountiful, it uprooted trees that were here for hundreds
of years! This is one at the cemetery we saw.  So many trees lost, and so much
damage around the county.
ABEL.....our newest adopted member of the family.  This was Josh's dog,
whom Zach and Sara took in when Joshua passed away.  However, when Zach and his family
were sent on Military assignment for 3 years to Japan....we are now his "parents".  We love
this little dog.  I am not sure if we will be able to give him up when the kid are back in the USA.
He is such a good dog!!!

GRAND KIDS

Mason and Carter (Zach and Sara's little boys)
Mason is 5 1/2 and Carter is 3 years old.

Bucca and Munga....lol
We are known as Bucca (Joe) and Munga (Stephanie) to the
grand kids...So we embrace it.  :)

PresLee, Josh's little girl. We are not able to see her, but we
are occasionally sent pictures of her. It is so cute to see Josh's
resemblance in this sweet adorable little girl. She is now 3yrs old
